At The Finance Nest, we believe that a safe and stable home is more than just four walls—it’s the foundation for opportunity, security, and hope. While we are proud to help people secure their own homes, we also recognise the heartbreaking reality that far too many in our community are without one. Inspired by this need, our broker Peter Bardadyn envisioned the Hundred for Our Homeless initiative as a way to give back and support those doing it tough.
With Peter’s passion as the driving force, and guided by our shared mission of empowering lives, we’ve built this initiative to make a tangible difference. Together with you, our valued clients, we’re proud to support the incredible work of South Australia’s leading homeless charities, helping to bridge the gap between those with homes and those less fortunate.
Orange Sky Australia
Orange Sky provides free mobile laundry and shower services to Australians experiencing homelessness. Beyond these essential services, they create spaces for connection, compassion, and conversation through their team of thousands of volunteers. Each week, their iconic orange vans travel to 36 service locations across the country, giving dignity to those in need and helping foster positive connections within the community. By supporting Orange Sky, you're keeping these vital services running and empowering those facing tough times with the opportunity to feel valued and cared for.
Foodbank SA
Foodbank SA is the largest hunger-relief organisation in the state, providing essential food support to over 135,000 South Australians every month. Their work extends to children and families, ensuring those most vulnerable have access to nutritious meals. Every $100 donated enables Foodbank SA to deliver 200 meals to individuals and families in need. By partnering with over 596 charities and 550 school programs, Foodbank SA is transforming lives and making a real impact on hunger in our community.
Hutt St Centre
Hutt St Centre is a place of hope, serving over 40,000 meals annually to individuals facing homelessness in South Australia. Their comprehensive support services include housing assistance, social work, healthcare access, and education programs to help people rebuild their lives. Every day, they create a safe space for nearly 200 individuals to find stability, reconnect with the community, and regain dignity. Supporting Hutt St Centre means contributing to lasting change for those experiencing homelessness.
Treasure Boxes
Treasure Boxes is dedicated to supporting South Australian families in crisis by providing essential items for children, such as bedding, clothing, and toys. Through their resourceful approach, Treasure Boxes redistributes high-quality donated goods, ensuring nothing goes to waste while preventing hardship for families experiencing poverty or homelessness. Their work not only brings comfort and stability to children but also strengthens the community by addressing immediate needs with compassion and care.
Catherine House
Catherine House offers crisis and long-term accommodation for women experiencing homelessness in South Australia. Their recovery-oriented programs provide trauma-informed care and tackle the root causes of homelessness, including domestic violence and mental health challenges. Catherine House not only provides immediate safety but also empowers women to rebuild their lives, plan for the future, and sustain meaningful independence. Your support ensures that every woman who walks through their doors receives the tools and encouragement needed to end homelessness for good.
